Sexbomb, sexbomb.
Many friends have only one reaction -- which is to giggle uncontrollably (right Sheila?) -- whenever I confess that I designed this album.
Two words: cash cow.
Is it because I've oh so obviously sold out, or is it because the "singing group" is such a joke in itself? Honestly I admire the girls for their, um, fighting spirit.*
*...and not much else, I'm sorry!

Arn and I dropped by Powerbooks (Megamall) and had this exchange with one of the sales staff:
Arn: Do you have "After Eden"?
Saleslady: (very curtly) No. Sold out. You can leave your name and number to reserve a copy.
Me: Um, actually he's the author. We're just checking to see if it's available here.
Saleslady: (polite and smiling, all of a sudden) Oh! Sir, (blablabla...)
Which brought to mind another similar scenario:
Me: (on the phone) Good morning, can I speak to Dr. Bauzon?
New secretary: (very rudely) She's not in yet, call back in an hour. Who's this?
Me: Her daughter...
Secretary: Oh hello! Cynthia, right? Your mom isn't here yet but I'll tell her that you called.
Whatever happened to service-with-a-smile-regardless-of-who-you-are?

At Comic Quest yesterday, I told Noel that Arn and I really enjoy the regularly-updated love/hate banter he and Gerry has going at the Wasted Diary blog. If you don't know what I'm talking about, I suggest you click on over, now. The entries are guaranteed to make you laugh out loud, yeah even if you don't know the guys personally.
Later on, Arn and I had dinner at Teriyaki Boy with Jayce, Marco, Vinnie and Ralph. Since it was in the same area anyway, I insisted that we drop by Lord Stow's ("Large Toes???", as Marco mistakenly heard), home of what Arn and I think are the world's yummiest egg tarts. Fortunately for our waistlines, the store was closed, too early though at 10:30pm, bah. If you're anywhere near Madison Square, I urge you to sample one of those egg tarts. Promise, the extra calories are worth it. (:

Uy, thanks Ibalik! True, re the non-existent customer service policy in most shops here. Classic example: dancing salesladies at Odyssey na walang paki if they're covering a certain portion of the cd racks.

sexbomb: tsk tsk =/. oh well, you're still my sexbomb ate cyn. hehe. customer service: ewan lang, i made my own perception na there is no such thing as "customer service" sa pinas. tsk tsk. ie, nung nasa natinal ako, sabi nung ale wala daw yung libro na hinahanap ko, ang sungit pa. buti na lang na overheard nang boss nya, tas sabi, meron daw sila. tamad lang mag hanap yung tindera.
