March 01: Go, Sofia!
Is Manila getting too crowded that more and more couples are choosing to hold their weddings out of town? Last weekend Arn and I hied off to Cavite, an almost three hour's drive from where we live, just to see my friend April walk down the aisle.
Mr. and Mrs. Gaby Alcantara. The beautiful wedding was held at the Eagle Ridge Golf and Country Club, a dozen or so meters away from familiar Tagaytay.
Last month, another friend, Pia, had her wedding in Caleruega church.
Maybe it's a combination of the desire for magical, scenic photo opps and of cutting down on wedding expenses since only the closest of friends will attend diba?
*** Uy, Sofia won for Best Original Screenplay. I absolutely loved the movie too. If you ever read this interview with Arn and me, you already know how much a fan I am of her and Spike. To me she's the queen of cool, right up there with my all time of queen of cool Suzanne Vega.

lost in translation is simply the best movie of 2003. and not just because it was set in japan :)
just got back from tokyo, and even if not everybody's fortunate enough to have LIT-size hotel rooms (more the exception than the rule), every visit to tokyo will still hold some surprise.
tokyu hands rocks.

and i'm glad lost in translation won for best screenplay (tama ba?) at first, when i saw virgin suicides, i really liked it, but i had my doubts about sofia being a good director. but lost in translation put my doubts (mostly) at rest. :)
