July 29:
Angels and Demons, Imelda, and the X-34

You have to watch Imelda, if only to see her explanation of the "7 Portals of Peace and Order ". (It went way beyond 7 by the way).

She is so unintentionally funny, I don't know whether to pity or be charmed by her.

Awesome art from Zoo and Jois, eh? This piece won them an EMac at a recent digital competition, how lucky!

*Arn and I could certainly use another computer... any suggestions? Carlo? The old G4 (400 mhz) is getting pretty exhausted.

Aerospace specialists predict that civilian passengers (i.e. you and me) will be riding in planes like the X-34 by 2006. It can travel at Mach 15 -- over 10,000 mph, meaning it can take you from here to across the planet in just one hour. Imagine that. You can practically event-hop (and maybe not sleep) around the world in just one day.

So how did I know about this plane? Thru Angels and Demons. And yes, I was also able to read the wildy popular Da Vinci Code. Fine, Digital Fortress too. And am actually halfway through Deception Point. Mind you I'm not a Dan Brown fan. His books are just annoyingly unputdownable.

It's hard to put down Dan Brown's books but somehow don't you get a strange ripped off feeling when you're done? It's like I kept on waiting for something to happen ... only to realise that the endings are so ridiculously inane.
