So who do you think will be this year's American Idol? I don't really care but I hope the Simpsons episode guest-starring Simon Cowell gets aired on these shores real soon, don't you?

Looky, I found this at our friendly neighborhood National Book Store.

The price tag says P35..! Wow, to think I couldn't even afford to buy extra ones for myself back in the day.

This book holds a lot of dear memories for me. Did you know that I completed all 25 illustrations for it while vacationing with my family in Japan? And that it was at the book's launch in March 1997 that I was "officially" introduced to Arnold? (Thanks to Marco! Tsk tsk, whodavthunkit huh, Dimaans?)

I also found a fairly good copy of Nick Bantock's The Walrus and the Carpenter pop-up for P65 -- a steal considering I bought his Jabberwocky pop-up boxed set for close to P1T some five years ago. I'm tellin ya, bargain-bin digging is the way to go!

Four overage kids wanted to see who among them would make the best Darna.

So is it A, B, C, or D? Hmm Robert (D)'s skin tone matches the artwork's. I guess he's in the lead.

Thank you, Pixelbureau (:

If you look at the archives, our friend J was the featured designer last month.

A bunch of us friends met up last night at a Persian hangout along Durban called Ziggurat. Arn and I had already eaten so we didn't have enough tummy space to try out the kebabs*.

That, my friends, is a Hookah. If it looks vaguely familiar, maybe you've seen Jabba the Hut's? Oh and because I'm an asthmatic, I didn't even attempt to take a puff but the smoke is said to taste like tea.

*So by default, Behrouz is still THE place for Persian.

I promised myself that I won't make this into a pet photolog but this was too cute not to post. (This one's for you, Nev and Ramon.)

Getting them to pose and then look at the camera is like building a spaceship! Close to impossible.

At the very sporadic rate I'm going, sometimes I seriously consider quitting this blog but it's messages like these that really keep me going. Thank you so much!

My brother Toting would've been 29 today. ): We love you Tots, wherever you are.

Pia, a close girlfriend of mine, got married last Saturday. Unfortunately I was sick*. Thank goodness for the internet though, Arn and I were able to witness it through photos. (Thanks, Carlo!)

*We could've still gone but the wedding was out of town. ):

These are two of the Arre family's kitties, Abbas and Delilah. Because of my recurring asthma, I was never allowed to own a cat growing up so I didn't know until now how nice it is to have furries around. Next time I'll show you more pictures I've taken around our house.

And just like them, we're starting out*.

*What Arn wrote on the gift tag. (Yes, he did give me the dollhouse for Christmas. (: )

Sheila and Tippi used to tell me that getting married was just like playing house. They were right! It's like a neverending game of figuring out what to do, where to go, what else to buy for the house, or what to cook for the day, and what's more, you get to make your own rules.

It's always nice to see another one of my dear friends commit herself to a blog. Please say hello to Jenny girl (:
