Something every E-heads fan should NOT be without:
Eraserheads Anthology. Available in record bars since yesterday!
33 finger-lickin'-fantastic tracks, one of them previously unreleased, packed into 2 cds. I'm proud to say that my Arn did the smashing cover illustration and if you look at the details of the artwork closely, you'll see that it's something only a huge fan would've been able to create. It was so cool to be part of this project because we truly love and miss the E-heads... sigh.
*These guys gave me my first big design break. If it weren't for them, I wouldn't have had a chance to experience the world outside the thick walls of advertising.
*** We've been spending quite an amount of time talking to Zoo and Jois lately (because of a certain project that is the bane of Jois' and my existence, haay. Ninoy, buti ka pa!) and it's really refreshing to be exposed to this talented twosome's design principles. Just so you know, you are never too old to learn something new from people younger than you! Check out their mind-blowing stuff at Inksurge.

If you're seething over your cellulite, overwrought by your waddle, or constantly seem to be losing the battle of the lower-body bulge, meet the world's most celebrated shoe.
Sport Masai Barefoot Technology Sneaker*
They tone muscles, better your balance, improve posture, help varicose veins and-- God save the Queen-- have been known to swiftly sack cellulite.
* targetted for the 30-something sedentary female, i.e. me
*** Remember the pitch I told you about, the one I slaved on during my birthday week? Well we, oops, they* won the account, yahoo!
*Since I was just freelancing for the agency, technically it's their win. Still I'm proud to have played a part in it.
*** If you haven't tired of looking at them yet, more pictures of our wedding are online, courtesy of Carlo!
*** Hey guess what, The Sacred Works of Ryan Cayabyab is now commercially available. It's really a masterpiece folks and worth every peso... so please go get a copy now. (:

Dear manga-and-feline-loving friends, you must check out Makoto Kobayashi's "What's Michael?" comic book series (if you haven't yet, that is). Very very entertaining, lah! A lot of the strips don't make any point at all, they just show kittycats like they really are, and I guess that's where the beauty of it lies. I actually learned about the series from Robert and Shirley who lent me their 6-book set last week (probably because I've been bombarding them with cat behaviour-interpretation questions lately). Read more about "What's Michael?" here.
*** Oh hello, our beloved tabby has learned how to use the Mac. I can't promise that he'll be of any use but if you have some spare net time, go ahead and add him to your Friendster account: delilahcat@bigfoot.com, cute naman sya eh.
Puurrrr-lease?
*** Ever read A Wrinkle in Time as a teen? Did you always wonder what Mrs. Whatsit really looked like? Wonder no more, Hallmark Channel is airing a TV-movie version in two parts tomorrow at 9pm and 12 midnight, Philippine time. I'm really excited because I've always wondered how this would translate as a live-action movie -- Hallmark better not disappoint me.

Gosh, I nearly forgot all about this blog! Thanks for all the wonderful messages, I really really appreciate that you guys take time to visit even when there's nothing new to see. (Gulp, my bad).
*** Arn and I saw The Passion of the Christ the day after watching Jesus of Nazareth for a full eight hours so I guess you can imagine how enlightened we felt afterwards. It's true, no matter how many times you can tell yourself that "no, those aren't real welts -- it's just a movie", fact is all that barbarism really happened some 1,971 years ago. I hope the movie drove the point home to you as deep as it did to us.
*** Most out-of-place comment overheard while watching The Passion: "Ang ganda ni Monica Belucci*!" Naku naman...
*in English, for you non-Tagalog speakers: "Monica Belucci is so pretty!"
*** Oh yeah, I turned 32 a couple of weeks ago. How did I spend my birthday? Working on a tri-media advertising campaign pitch* for a telecom company with this agency. Shucks, I've been out of the ad biz for so long that I don't remember the last time I did that (work on a pitch on my birthday, I mean). Seriously, it was cool working with young -- and old, hehe -- creative minds again.
*If you've ever been in advertising, you know what that spells -- overnighters galore. My poor hubby had to drive me to and from the office in his jammies at ungodly hours.
*** Thankfully I did manage to have three birthday dinners though -- with my dear Arn; with Mama, Papa and Calvin; and with Mom, Dad and Jing (see, marriage blesses you with three sets of families, how wonderful is that?)
*** Now that we live with cats, I told Arn that I now understand how Jim Davis or our friend Robert Magnuson can never run out of ideas for their comic strips. Cats are such adorable, funny-without-meaning-to-be little creatures and every encounter with them aches to be turned into an anecdote.
Delilah, our very own Garfield. He (yup, Dely's a he) does nothing but sleep, eat and groom himself all day.
Family shot. Once we caught Mommy and Daddy cat mating right in front of little kitty, how bizarre.
Extended family shot. That's my bagong-gising look, by the way.
Extended family shot #2. Arn and Meowie who, incidentally, is living up to her name... meowing! all! the! time!
